  1. Hi Tangi!

It's me again, congrats on completing another Summer Learning Journey activity! Just wanna say Amazing work on finding out more about your parents! I didn't know that your dad was full Cook island and that he travelled here by boat!. My parents originated from Tonga but moved here, to New Zealand. If you had the chance, Where would you travel?

    Keep up the great work!

  2. Kia ora Tangimetua,

Wow you are a part of two different cultures, that is so cool! You must be very proud to represent both Maori and Cook Island culture. Personally I think both cultures are amazing, so many awesome traditions, customs and beautiful stories that each culture holds. I just spent a week in Rotoiti over the New Year period at a lake house. It was my first time there but man was it relaxing! Have you been to the Polynesian spas nearby? So good!

I had no idea that people travelled to New Zealand by ship in the last century! I went to the Cook Islands last year and stayed by Avarua beach. Might I say, the Cook Islands is the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my life. What do you like or love about the Cook Islands? I love the locals and the rich history that your homeland has! Also have you been there before?

Keep doing your thing Tangimetua! :)

    Ngā mihi,
    Mani

  3. Kia ora Tangimetua,

Wow! My mum is also Maori but my dad is Samoan. Kudos to your dad for travelling on a ship! Have you visited either places your parents come from?

    Looking forward to your response,
    Riiana
