Summer Learning Journey Activity 3 : I have a dream

In america people were fighting for there life's because at that time there were laws that kept black and white people separated. There were different schools. They had to use different toilets, different parts of a bus and eat at different areas of restaurants. All the people in america must of been struggling to fight there life. America is one of the bad places around the country because of all the gangs around there go around shooting people. That is not right someone should put a stop to these criminals. It is really sad for the kids that are dying because they are not having that much food and the parents don't even care.

  1. Hey Tangi

Congrats on completing another Summer Learning Journey activity! It was really sad that coloured people didn't have rights back then. White people also took Black people as slaves, put them up for sale and even threaten to kill black people if they don't listen to they're "masters" but i'm glad that people aren't racist as they were back then.

    Keep up the amazing work!

  2. Malo e lelei Tangimetua,

It is finally a sunny day today, YAY! I hope you have been having the best holiday. Thank you for sharing such an important problem we have in our world even today! Great summarising too! It is so sad to think that people were being punished simply for the colour of their skin and unfortunately it is still happening in our world. Rosa Parks will always be remembered for how brave and inspiring she was in standing up for herself and for all Coloured and Black people. Rosa Parks is actually one of my idols because of how strong and brave she is and unfortunately when these kinds of incidents have happened to me, I remember how she stood up for herself and it helps me stand up for myself. Do you have an idol that you look up to or someone who reminds you to be brave?

    Nice mahi Tangimetua! :)

    Malo,
    Mani
